Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives (1986)

<<Back to Intro and all Friday the 13th Films

The sixth film returns to Camp Crystal Lake, now renamed Camp Forest Green in an attempt to shed its violent history. The camp is actually operational with children present for the first time in the series, adding a new level of tension. The lake, forest, and foggy campgrounds set the stage for Jason's resurrection.

The new set of doomed characters includes a fresh group of camp counselors, who are there to ensure the camp runs smoothly. However, with the arrival of Tommy Jarvis — now intent on destroying Jason's body once and for all — and Jason's unexpected resurrection, they soon find themselves in the path of his vengeance.

Jason is resurrected by a bolt of lightning, now taking on a more zombie-like, unstoppable appearance, with decaying skin and superhuman strength. His hockey mask, now slightly worn and scarred, adds to his undead look. The most creative kill involves Jason folding a sheriff in half backwards. Jason's temporary end comes when Tommy chains him to a boulder and sinks him to the bottom of Crystal Lake, seemingly trapped.

"They buried him deep, but Jason has a knack; he’ll rise from the grave in ‘The New Blood’ for one more hack!"
